Santo Katrin is a restaurant in Costa Rica that offers fine Mexican dining in the popular and urban MultiPlaza shopping centre of the city of Escazu. The vision for the design was to create a restaurant that pays homage to Mexican culture and more specifically “Día delos Muertos” which translates to English as “Day of the Dead”. This is a revered Mexican holiday that celebrates the dead and is a special part of the culture. To do this we had to create unique furniture elements that  such as these chairs with colourful woven backs.
