Bio: Marcela is the head of finance, business development, and operations at KMD Design Group. She is a critical member of our leadership team, responsible for overseeing the business processes and operations of the firm. She brings a wealth of experience, having spent many years working in a real estate development firm where she was in charge of high-profile real estate projects and real estate fund management. Marcela has a degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Construction Management, and her passion for the field is evident through her enthusiasm for all the projects we undertake.

She has extensive experience in leading multitasking teams in multimillion-dollar projects, overseeing every aspect, with a focus on achieving financial goals. Marcela is adept at conceptualizing projects, and collaborating with architects to align with financial objectives while ensuring excellent design and program quality. She is responsible for controlling all financial models, financing structures, negotiations, and legal aspects of projects.

Type of projects: Gated-community development, residential houses, residential and commercial building development, mixed-use development, office complex and shopping center development, master planning conceptualization, and hospitality development.

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering - Universidad de Costa Rica

Hobbies: Marcela enjoys running (having completed the Boston Marathon three times!) and embarking on adventurous trips with her family. She also prioritizes prayer and making time for spiritual reflection.
